James' Birthday.

It was James' birthday last weekend. Last year I took him to Liverpool and he loved it so this year we did the same. We got there very early, well as early as British Real would let us (TUT). We did some hardcore shopping then hit the bars. I would love to tell you more of what happend but I can't really remember much, apart from we had a 'fish supper' which was very nice. Here are the photos I managed to snap.

After a party on friday night we headed up to Seahouses, Northumbland with Becs and Jonny. We spent 3 days chilling, drinking and eating as-well-as  messing around on the beach. I even had chance to do some drawing!

Summer Holidays.

You would think by now I would of done lots of interesting arty things seen as we brock up from uni last week. Well I'm not finished yet and will not be for a while, I'm still trying to get this bloody curriculum essay done; It's a nightmare! Thinking about it I have been a few interesting places and spent lots of money on food and drink so here are some photos to keep you going until I start making some beautiful work (if I'm still capable of that).

It was my 24th Birthday on the 8th May, so James, my best friend Georgie and Her boyfriend Chris-te-poos when for a day trip to the zoo. As Blackpool zoo is reasonable priced and closer than most to Huddersfield, we jumped on a train over there. Blackpool is a very odd and 70's looking place, not how I remembered it as a kid. It's full on stag and hen partys which can be very intimidating when you are not part of the gang of hairy chested man dressed as old ladies pissing in the street.

The zoo was good, lots of animals and not too busy (full of kids). Watching the sealions do their thing was dead good, especially when Jeff, their trainer slapped on his ares. We thought it was very funny but no one eles in the audiences did.

On the way home we stopped of in Manchester for a drink at the Minnie Marble Arch, a really nice real ale bar. It has one long table and bench so it's very european. James made me a hart and a pint of Guinness out of chest pieces and Georgie got a bit huffy when she lost at bottle cap drafts. All in all a very funny day out!
On the sunday of my atchual birthday Rosie (my little sisiter) and Mum put on a tea party for me and the rest of us. Rosie really did well at making it the best little girls tea party ever!

Coco (Rosie's little girl) really liked all the cucumber sandwiches and James liked sitting next to her eating hart shaped ham sandwiches. It was defos the best birthday ever! <3

Vintage Bunting.

I made this vintage bunting for Gerry at Neaverson's royal wedding party. It's made out old clothes from the charity bag; mostly my flatmates Primark skirts. They definitely look a lot better as bunting rather than the skirts they once were. The cultured ones among you will recognise the Liberty patterns in there too. You can see my hard work in Gerry's vintage tea room now.
Before I handed over my hard work Jen, Rebecca and I made the most of it with a nice pot of tea in my back garden. I love a good tea party.

This Blog.

This blog is going to be all about what I get up to on my summer holidays. I shall be unemployed and living back at my mum's so I'll have lots of time for being arty, in between searching for teaching jobs. In the pipe line is castle and rose painting, dress making, vintage knitting patterns and other thrifty gems. So make sure you keep popping back to see what my friends and I have been up to. xx
